Parents/Guardians are required to complete a registration and permission form for child/ren, prior to joining. The completion of a booking form and payment of fees is also needed to reserve a place. Payments can be made by cheque, cash, internet banking or child care vouchers. If a cheque is returned unpaid by the bank no further cheques will be accepted. Parents will be contacted by email, where possible or sent reminder letters, regarding outstanding accounts. Unpaid fees may result in a child losing their place. Legal Action may be taken to recover any outstanding debts.
We require 48 hours notice when booking or cancelling a place, preferably in writing (email, text or letter). If this is not given, the full fee will stand or when booking late, a penalty charge will be incurred. The booking will still stand and full payment will be due if a child is sick, unless the required cancellation notice is given. For any child required to isolate, due to contact with someone tested positive with covid 19, fees will be charged at half rate for the duration of their isolation. In the event of school closure due to snow etc. and we are also unable to operate; fees will be charged at half rate.
If a child is likely to be absent for part of the session due to attending school run activities, the Funtastic Club must be advised in advance. To ensure there is a place available for the child, in the event the activity is cancelled at the last minute due to weather or emergency etc, we require the full fee of £3.25 to hold that place, otherwise alternative arrangements will need to be made.
The Breakfast Club will not be opened before the start time of 7:45am and aggressive behaviour from parents late for work will not be tolerated. Equally the club will ensure they are ready and set up to accept children on time.
Children will not be released from after school club, to anyone who is thought to compromise their safety - e.g. under the influence of drink or drugs. They may only be collected by the parent/guardian or a designated person, who must be over 16 years old, unless written permission is received and signed by the parent. A password system is in place to ensure the safety of the children. A member of staff will sign the child/ren out once they have been collected.
It is understandable that on occasions parents/guardians may be delayed collecting their child/ren but must ensure the club is informed. If collection is before 6pm the next rate will be charged. However, the club closes at 6pm and anyone arriving after this time will be charged £3.25 for every five minutes thereafter. Our policy is, after 30 minutes has elapsed and repeated attempts to contact the parent/carer have been made, the Manager will call the local social services department. If a parent/carer is persistently late collecting their child, giving cause for concern, which could be regarded as neglect, Social Services will be contacted for their advice.
The club has a no smoking policy in line with the school. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the school grounds. No smoking signs are displayed.
The use of personal mobile phones or camera's are not allowed (as inforced by Ofsted) and anyone using one will be asked to leave the setting. Posters are clearly displayed as a reminder.
Bullying of any description is not tolerated and never ignored. Our aim is to create an environment where everyone feels safe, secure and valued.
Each child under the age of five will be assigned a key person. Their role is to help the child settle and become familiar with the setting, build a relationship with the family and encourage parents involvement in their child's learning and development. Parents can view their child's development records at anytime.
